Paint correction is the machine polishing process that physically removes swirl marks, wash scratches, water spots, and oxidation instead of hiding them under filler.
We start by measuring paint thickness and inspecting the finish under dedicated correction lighting so we know exactly how much clear coat there is to work with. From there we choose the least aggressive pad and compound combination that will still fully cut the defects — protecting the clear coat is the whole point.
Most vehicles get a two-stage process: a cutting stage to level defects, then a refining polish to bring back depth and clarity. Heavily neglected or single-stage paint may need a third pass. We finish with a panel wipe so you see the true corrected paint, not polishing oils.
Correction is permanent until new scratches are introduced, which is why most clients pair it with a ceramic coating or sealant the same day.
